Welcome to The Pointe's inaugural on-line newsletter! We have been using social media for the past year and now we are launching a monthly newsletter to better communicate with you, our families and interested parties in the local community. A Community Milestone
On December 8, 2003, after a couple of fun Grand Opening celebrations, The Pointe at Kilpatrick officially opened its doors as the south suburbs newest premier residential community. During that first month, approximately 80 eager individuals occupied our apartments for the very first time. The building continued to fill over the course of the next 5 months. Since 2002, when the information office first opened across the street, so many families had been waiting that it felt like a reunion when they finally arrived to meet with Shirley Camacho and Ellen Lollini to sign the lease – moving vans not far behind. Featured Resident
Mary Bartzak-Mary has lived happily at The Pointe at Kilpatrick for a little over a year now. She really enjoys the many, varied activities that are scheduled on a daily basis. She especially enjoys the lunch outings to local restaurants. Mary says, "I just love to go to the different restaurants and spend time with the other residents who have become my friends." Employee - Spotlight
Angie Garbaczewski, Program Director-Angie will be celebrating her one year anniversary with The Pointe on the 22nd of this month. Born in Chicago and raised in Brighton Park, Angie is familiar with all of the wonderful things this large area has to offer. Though she had limited experience working with seniors directly, Angie quickly embraced her position and the program has never been stronger. Angie says, "I have always had respect and admiration for the older generations and I really do enjoy helping people. It immediately felt natural to be doing what I was doing here." Read More »
