This month's art class focused on collages and drew a large number of participants.  Under the guidance of Program Director Angie Garbaczewski and artist, Sergio "David" Rojas, the residents were given a wide array of materials to work with to create their own "picture board". From magazine photos and feathers to scarves and trinkets, the residents enthusiastically dove into the days project.  Many stayed long after the class was over to put the finishing touches on their masterpieces.  The outcomes were all interesting and wonderful.  One person used a single color to decide what objects to place on the board, while others took a more literal route, such as placing tiny, stuffed birds onto pictures of tree branches.  A few of the residents brought in family photos and made their entire collage out of pictures of their grandchildren."Everyone really enjoyed this project", Angie commented afterward, "It's interesting to see what materials each person chooses to express themselves with."
