The Pointe at Kilpatrick welcomed Dr. Dawn Tuminello this past Wednesday. Dr. Tuminello gave a presentation on eye health for the residents at The Pointe.  She covered symptoms and treatments for a variety of eye health issues, including:

• Glaucoma
• Diabetic Retinopathy
• Cataracts
• Macular Degeneration
• Dry Eyes

After her presentation, Dr. Tuminello remained to meet with residents individually to answer their questions.  Afterward, she took a brief tour and was thrilled to find the vision enhancing machine in the library. Used by several residents with visual deficits, this machine makes small print books, magazines and newspapers accessible to everyone.  Dr. Tuminello is already planning on a return visit to instruct the staff and residents on the proper use of the machine as well as additional tips for getting the most out of it.

Dr. Tuminello is an Optometrist with a private practice in Orland Park, "Eye Was Framed EyeCare".  She has been practicing optometry for 16 years, since receiving her degree from the Illinois College of Optometry.
