Crestwood, IL - The Pointe at Kilpatrick held it's First Annual Art Auction on Saturday, April 2nd. Resident's from our New Day neighborhood, those living with Alzheimer's disease, turned ordinary umbrellas into beautiful and original works of art by hand painting and decorating them. The umbrellas were then sold during a silent auction. Many of those in attendance were family members of the artists and found themselves in bidding wars with one another. Over $350.00 was raised for New Day, with the money going towards bus outings and musical bells for the New Day Bell Choir that is being organized. The bell choir is the latest program to be added to our extensive Creative and Expressive Art therapies. The Pointe at Kilpatrick is dedicated to providing the highest quality of life through memory enrichment and activities geared toward personal fulfillment.
