The Pointe at Kilpatrick - Crestwood, IL

The residents celebrated Chinese New Year on January 23rd. Several of them carried Chinese fans that they made during a craft project earlier in the month in anticipation of the event. Using the holiday as the theme for their "Meal of the Month", the residents easily decided on a menu of:

• Beef Chop Suey
• Fried Rice
• Egg Rolls with Dipping Sauces
• Almond Cookies

Program Director, Angie Garbaczewski, decorated the dining room with homemade Chinese lanterns and set the tables with Chinese to-go containers filled with fortune cookies for the residents.  Several family members joined their loved one for the delicious and fun lunch.  Usually, the "Meal of the Month" is followed by entertainment that follows the same theme, however, the 23rd was slated as "The Pointe's Got Talent", talent show.  Check back soon for more information on the results as well as photos and a video of the performances.
